Tracy Callwood is the Senior Compliance Officer at the Virgin Islands Department of Labor, where she oversees compliance at the intersection of labor law and employment practices. Her exceptional contributions earned her a nomination for the 2024 Employee of the Year, recognizing her dedication and excellence in her role.
Tracy's diverse professional experience includes positions at First Virgin Islands FSB, St. Thomas-St. John Cable TV, NationsBank, Wachovia, Fannie Mae, and the Virgin Islands Department of Education. She has also served as Human Resources Director at the Department of Justice and HR and Fiscal Administrator at the Office of Management and Budget.
In addition to her government roles, Tracy has worked as a Producer/Director of television commercials, Program Manager, and Human Resources Manager. She has also contributed her skills to social and civic organizations as a newsletter creator, public relations and social media content creator, and training coach.
In 2024, Tracy expanded her expertise by teaching in the Certified Program Manager (CPM) Program at the University of the Virgin Islands Center for Excellence in Leadership and Learning. She instructed courses on Media Relations, Ethics, Records Management, and Customer Service, equipping Virgin Islands managers with skills to lead the community through innovation and transformation.
Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Norfolk State University.
