American Samoa

Updated August 16, 2025
Lindsey Laupola served as a Public Education Research & Development Specialist in the Office of the Governor of American Samoa. In this role, she focused on the Territory’s political status, constitutional review, and federal relations, aiming to strengthen and clarify American Samoa’s relationship within the broader frameworks of the Pacific region and the United States.
In 2023, Lindsey was selected as an inaugural Resilient Pacific Islands Leaders Fellow with the East-West Center, where she deepened her commitment to regional collaboration and developed a passion for amplifying Pacific voices in federal and international discussions. Her dedication to uniting Pacific communities led her to establish TALOFA (The Aga Laupola Organization for Advancement) in July 2024, an organization devoted to building youth capacity and promoting community development across American Samoa and the Pacific region. She envisions a future where the collective strength of Pacific Island communities fosters unity, resilience, and opportunity.
Ms. Laupola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master’s degree in Legal Studies from Wayland Baptist University.
