Miguel Demapan serves as an Auditor III for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Office of the Public Auditor (OPA), specializing in performance audits. In his role, he leads OPA’s Audit Recommendation Tracking System (ARTS), monitoring outstanding inspection and audit recommendations and performing follow-up procedures on a semi-annual basis. Miguel also serves as Team Lead for OPA’s Election Assistance, coordinating with the Commonwealth Election Commission to oversee OPA staffing responsibilities and observation reports for CNMI General Elections. Additionally, he supports the enforcement of the CNMI Government Ethics Code Act by conducting ethics presentations for government agencies alongside OPA staff auditors and investigators.

Miguel actively contributes to enhancing transparency and accountability within the CNMI government through his leadership and collaborative efforts in key audit and ethics initiatives.

Mr. Demapan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Guam in 2017.
