TaAnn plans to commit her entire career to serving others. Raised on the tiny of island of Ebeye in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, she understands the challenges of those living in an underdeveloped or developing country. With a degree in Education, emphasis on Rehabilitation and Human Services, TaAnn wants to commit her career to transforming lives. She plans on pursuing a master’s degree in addiction counseling.

She is currently the Manager for the newly established Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands’ (CNMI) Drug Court within the Superior Court. As the manager for the first local treatment court, she was instrumental in developing the program and ensuring its successful inception in December 2016.

Prior to taking on the role as the CNMI Drug Court Manager, she was the Maternal and Child Health Administrator at the CNMI’s only hospital and healthcare system. She was responsible for and managed eight (8) federally-funded programs at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC), Division of Public Health Services. TaAnn assisted with the aligning of programs serving mothers and children, strategizing to ensure efficient and effective use of limited resources. She led numerous community projects including the first ever CNMI Women’s Health Month. Under her leadership, MCHB led collaborative initiatives with a vision to eliminate health disparities for mothers, children, and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs.

TaAnn also proudly served in the United States Army. After her service she worked for the Federal Government in Honolulu, Hawaii, before moving to the CNMI and starting her career in healthcare and human services. She has been inspired by many, including her resilient mom and hard-working dad who are both retired from the Government of the Republic of Marshall Islands. She is blessed with a humble husband who also happens to be an ELDP alumnus from the CNMI. They are blessed with four beautiful children.
