What is PITI-VITI?
The Pacific and Virgin Islands Training Initiatives (PITI-VITI), is a program managed by the Graduate School USA and funded by the Department of the Interior's Office of Insular Affairs. PITI-VITI supports the insular governments of American Samoa, Guam, CNMI, FSM, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the US Virgin Islands. Financial and Investigative Auditing
The course contains a series of connected topics relating to the conduct of financial audits and investigations. The sessions will include interactive lectures, case studies and discussion of current audits to enable participants to best implement course concepts in their audit work.

Using Project Management to Improve Grant Administration
This 3-day virtual course will provide information about how to use program management to improve grant implementation. Get results using time-tested strategies and practical, hands-on tools to execute and succeed in project management. You’ll learn how to scope projects effectively, improve time budgeting and resource allocation, and get the project done on time and within budget to manage grants successfully. This course “builds” from each day to the next. Participants should plan to attend the entire course or risk becoming lost because they have skipped a session.

Internal Control and COVID-19
COVID-19 triggered immediate changes to business processes with the widespread movement of employees to “work-from-home” arrangements. The urgency and speed of the required changes resulted in temporary workarounds as processes designed for office environments were extended to a remote, home-based workforce. Organizationsnow need to consider their internal controls to determine whether changes are needed to adapt to the new business environment.
