Carmela Vi is an Auditor with the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) Internal Audit Office (IAO), where she oversees performance audits and manages Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) for the territory’s 41 public schools. As an Auditor-in-Charge, Carmela leads audit teams to achieve audit objectives and provides training to school principals, staff, and student organization advisors on financial management. She also conducts annual audits of NAF accounts and investigates allegations of misappropriation when necessary.
 Carmela began her audit career with GDOE in 2013, steadily advancing to her current role through her dedication and expertise. Her contributions focus on improving financial accountability and ensuring transparency within the education system.
 She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, double majoring in Accounting and Human Resources, and recently completed a Master’s Degree in Accounting as part of the inaugural cohort at the University of Guam.
 Carmela is committed to furthering her career by developing her leadership skills and continuing to enhance the operations of the GDOE Internal Audit Office.
