Tara Shaniah Arnold is the Technical Support Manager for the Chuuk Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In this role, she coordinates and implements state-wide management plans and provides support to key divisions, including Solid Waste and Hazardous Management, Water and Wastewater Management, Climate Change, and Natural Resources Management. Tara also assists with financial budgets and proposals and leads outreach activities to local and youth communities to address environmental issues and their impacts.

Tara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration from Wheeling University in West Virginia, and a Master’s Degree in Global Environmental Studies from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Her education emphasized leadership and service, values she continues to embody in her work for Chuuk and its communities.

In her free time, Tara researches grant opportunities to support ongoing projects and enjoys cooking large meals for her family.
