Adelman Joseph serves as the Chief of Tax and Revenue for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). In this role, he oversees tax policy development, revenue management, and economic analysis to support the nation’s fiscal sustainability. Adelman’s responsibilities also include advising on public sector budgeting and implementing strategies to optimize government financial operations.
Adelman has over 10 years of public sector experience, holding key roles that highlight his diverse expertise. As Budget Advisor for the FSM Department of Finance and Administration, he contributed to the drafting and development of laws, regulations, and methodologies for budget planning and execution. As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade and Investment, he represented FSM in trade negotiations and facilitated investment activities. Additionally, during his tenure as an Insurance Examiner with the FSM Office of Insurance Commission, he reviewed applications, advised stakeholders, and provided critical oversight for insurance operations.
Adelman holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Capital University of Economics and Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Micronesia-National Campus.
