Nicole Jacobs serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Virgin Islands Department of Education. In this capacity, Nicole has direct management and supervisory responsibilities for fifteen employees. In addition, Nicole is responsible for the research and implementation of standard operation procedures and policies and the development and implementation of human resources initiatives. Additional responsibilities include providing personnel management for approximately 2,500 employees, providing assistance to middle and upper level managers relative to the Department's goals and objectives, and serving as the Department's primary liaison for international affairs. Prior to her current position, Nicole served as the Department's Assistant Director for nine years. Nicole holds a Master's of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Walden University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of the Virgin Islands. Additionally, Nicole is certified by the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) and the Society for Human Resources (SHRM).
