Sally currently serves as the Supervisor of the Koror Treasury Office, the main collection and disbursement artery of the Bureau of National Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Republic of Palau. In this role, Sally directly supervises four employees. She and her small but effective team are responsible for the majority of revenue collections for the national government, as well as the disbursement of payments to vendors and government employees, and in a minor capacity, the end procurement of materials and supplies for the government. Her office sees a considerable amount of traffic, as it serves as the mail drop-off and pick-up point for the executive branch offices. In addition, Sally is also responsible for setting policies and procedures for Treasury functions, in line with sound and transparent audit practices, to ensure compliance with existing rules, regulations, and applicable laws. Prior to her current position, Sally was Administrative Officer for the Ministry of Finance, and was responsible for the administrative support services for the ministry. Her achievements in streamlining inter-departmental processes, staff development and training, and effective liaison with donor partners were integral accomplishments for the Minister of Finance’s office. Sally attended the University of South Australia, where she achieved a degree in Library Studies. This study discipline has served her well in her administrative and supervisory roles. Sally has wholeheartedly committed herself to the ELDP program and expects to gain and apply skills that will benefit not just herself, but her government and her country.
