Kiaru currently serves as the Executive Manager for the Kosrae Microfinance Union, within Kosrae's Department of Resources & Economic Affairs. Kiaru is responsible for the overall management of this new program, which includes accounting, loan disbursement, payment collection, and training of the village coordinators as well as the members of the Microfinance program. Prior to this assignment, Kiaru was employed as the Private Sector Development Program Coordinator within Resources & Economic Affairs. Kiaru attended the College of Micronesia-FSM in Palikir, Pohnpei, where he achieved his degree in Business Administration.
