Glenn Mckinlay
Statistician
Glenn McKinlay has pursued a career in economic and social statistics, including collection, processing, analysis and dissemination. He has developed extensive skills in capacity building, management of small developing country statistical offices, team leadership, project management, and process improvement in official statistical contexts. In economic statistics he has specialised in national accounts, trade statistics and customs modernisation (PC Trade), business surveys, short term economic indicators, price indexes, central banking statistics (Overseas Exchange Transactions (OET), money and banking), survey redevelopment, employment statistics, HIES development, developing use of administrative data, Supply-Use Tables (SUT), and Social Accounting Matrices (SAM). In the social statistics area he has worked in demography including projections, estimates, analysis and research, migration statistics, ethnicity statistics and population censuses. Glenn's started his career with Statistics New Zealand, and in the developing country context has worked in Lesotho, Tonga, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Palau, Seychelles, and Timor Leste
