What is PITI-VITI?
The Pacific and Virgin Islands Training Initiatives (PITI-VITI), is a program managed by the Graduate School USA and funded by the Department of the Interior's Office of Insular Affairs. PITI-VITI supports the insular governments of American Samoa, Guam, CNMI, FSM, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the US Virgin Islands. GFOA 2023 Summer Meeting
The 2023 GFOA and IGFOA summer meetings will be held in Portland, Oregon, from May 21-24, 2023. Click for details.
The Grants Management Overview course will provide updated information about grants and cooperative agreements, including the responsibilities of recipients and key tasks that must be completed during the project period. This course will be informative for administrative, finance, and program staff from organizations that are involved with grant implementation. It will also be relevant for new staff on existing grants who do not have extensive experience in grants management.

Explore the relationship of controls to risk and to processes and systems, the prerequisites for good controls, and techniques for assessing the design and implementation of controls. Become proficient recognizing potential risks and in preparing clear objectives that define what your audit will accomplish using a step-by-step process for planning an audit of controls, the relationship of control weaknesses to the elements of a finding and incorporating findings into audit reports. Simulated real-world practice is provided through numerous public sector case studies and exercises. Assessing risks and controls in performance audits is now required by the 2018 Yellow Book Standards.
